Pavel Kozhokin will turn 18 years old this July.  He has a very close and loving relationship with his family who lives in Kharkiv, Ukraine .   Both his parents work long hours to help Pavel and his sister, Kate, live a “normal” life.  Kate is 21 and in her last year at the academy.  His grandmother, Inna, who Pavel loves very much, lives with his family and cooks for Pavel and his sister and helps him with his homework.  He visits his other grandparents, who live in a small village, during summer holidays.  Pavel graduated from secondary school # 160 and has taken 10 years of English.  He would very much like to go to college in the U.S. and to play professional hockey.   In addition to playing hockey, he enjoys playing soccer and likes to read.

Pavel plays defense and has played for Druzhba ’78 for 9 ½ years. He is grateful for the many exciting and positive experiences he has had playing hockey for Druzhba ’78 and especially likes to see the many different styles of hockey.  Pavel has attended a number of tournaments, including Stars of Tomorrow 1998, Ukrainian Championship, USA International Cup 1999, 2000, Pee-Wee Quebec 2000, and New York International Ice Hockey Cup World Championship (Division II Group A) 2004.
