Oleg Koval lives in Kharkov, Ukraine with his family.  He has had several years of English while attending school in  Kharkov.  Oleg would like to attend and play college hockey in the U.S. and go on to play professionally.  When not playing hockey, Oleg enjoys playing chess and fencing.  He also was on the Druzhba U-18 soccer team from 1999-2000.

Oleg has played the position of forward (left) for Druzhba 78 since 1998.  He has played in several international tournaments including: Quebec Pee-Wee 2000, U.S.A. International Cup 1999, 2000 (Minnesota) and the New York International Cup 2004. 

Of this U.S. tour, Oleg says:  "I have played hockey, all my life, with this team and this unique program led by Ivan Pravilov.  It  has been a great experience.  I want to play hockey for as long as I can".
