Liza lives in Kharkov with her parents and one sister.  She has had 10 years of English while in school in Kharkov.  Liza would like to attend school in the U.S. and play hockey in the Olympics "to play hockey as best as I can".  When not playing hockey, she likes to read, play chess, play the guitar and she adores horse-back riding.  Liza was also on a Druzhba 78 soccer team that participated in a U.S. Cup competition 1998-1999.

Liza is currently in her 10th year as a forward with Druzhba 78.    She has attended several international championships; Quebec Pee-Wee 2000, U.S.A. Internation Cup 1999 Minnesota, New York Internationl Ice Hockey Cup 2004. 

Of this U.S. playing tour, Liza says;
"I have enjoyed playing against so many different teams and experiencing the different culture in the U.S."
