Ivan (nichname 'Vanya') lives in Kiev, Ukraine with his father Anatoly, his mother Tatyana and his brother Maksim. Ivan's family followed Druzhba's North American tour closely via the internet and communicated several times with him by e-mail. Vanya is an extremely energetic forward and gifted goal scorer. He had nine goals and sixteen points on this trip with Druzhba.
Last summer, Ivan worked in an internet cafe in Kiev. He writes that he "is interested in everything about PC's". Ivan recently turned 16 and is in the 11th grade in Kiev. He has played ice hockey for 10 years. He would like to continue his education at a prep school in the United States.
