Aleksandr Ponomar is 18 years old and lives in Kharkov, Ukraine. He has taken 6 years of English while attending school in Kharkov. He wants to continue his education in the U.S. and to play hockey before pursuing a career in business. In addition to playing hockey, Alexander plays soccer, likes to read and has worked a an administrator of an internet club.
Aleksandr has played defense and forward (left) Druzhba ’78 since 1995. He is especially grateful for the many wonderful experiences he has had playing hockey in the United States, Canada, Russia, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Latvia and Czech Republic, attending a number of tournaments, including the World Championship Division II Group A U-18 2004, Quebec Pee-Wee 2000, U.S.A. International Cup 1999, 2000 (Minnesota), New York International Hockey Cup 2004.
